Imperial Truck Repairs is looking for qualified and experienced Welders to join our team in Ingleburn, NSW. Position Overview: The Welder will do repairs and maintenance of a range of trailers ranging from minor to major repairs. Duties and responsibilities:

- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
n
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
n
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
n
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
n
- Weld components using welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
n
- Repair and maintain trailers by welding pieces and filling gaps
n
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
n
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
n
Requirements and skills: nn
- Trade qualification in Welding – desirable or at least 3 years of proven experience as Welder
n
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
n
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
n
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawingsFamiliarity with executing various welding operations and processes in compliance with safety policies.
n
- Be able to follow and carry out instructions cooperatively and accurately.
n
- Have a can-do attitude and want to learn.
n
n
