ABOUT THE ROLE

Chilax Body Therapy is seeking a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist to join our Darwin clinic. You will provide individualised remedial treatments, help clients manage muscular tension and support their movement and wellbeing.

Employment type: Full-time, ongoing

Ordinary hours: 38 hours per week

Base salary: AUD $68,000 to $82,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, plus statutory superannuation.

Any applicable overtime, penalty rates, allowances and leave loading are paid in accordance with the applicable award and Australian employment law.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Consult with clients, review relevant health history and assess their treatment needs.
- Identify muscular and soft-tissue concerns within your professional scope and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Deliver remedial massage and suitable soft-tissue techniques tailored to each client's presentation.
- Review client responses and adjust treatments as appropriate.
- Provide suitable stretching, movement and self-care advice within your scope, and refer to other health professionals when needed.
- Maintain accurate clinical notes, informed consent and client confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean, safe treatment environment and follow infection prevention and workplace safety procedures.
- Work professionally with the clinic team and provide clear, respectful client communication.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE




- Diploma of Remedial Massage or a recognised equivalent qualification.
- Relevant practical experience delivering remedial massage treatments.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, client assessment, contraindications and safe treatment practices.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate treatment records.
- Eligibility for relevant professional association membership and private health fund provider recognition, or the ability to obtain these before delivering claimable services.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain these before commencing.
- Availability to work a roster that may include weekends.
