We are seeking a reliable and experienced Remote Camp Cook to join our team on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster in a remote work environment.

About you

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining high food and hygiene standards, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced camp setting.

You will need

- Australian recognised Certificate III or IV in commercial cookery or equivalent (preferred)

- Food Handler Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Previous experience preparing meals for groups
- Confidence planning and preparing a variety of meals
- Good understanding of food handling, storage and hygiene requirements
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the kitchen

- Current Australian driver's licence

About the Role Working alongside another cook on a rotating roster,



you will be responsible for preparing quality meals for workers on site, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting with accommodation room cleaning and housekeeping duties. Tasks include:

- Prepare and cook daily meals for in office personnel
- Plan and organise meal preparation in advance, including preparation for barge deliveries and remote logistics
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe kitchen environment at all times
- Manage food stock, ordering, and inventory control, including online/computer-based ordering systems
- Rotate and store supplies correctly to ensure freshness and availability
- Clean accommodation rooms and shared living areas as required
- Work collaboratively with the other camp cook on a 2/1 roster system
- Follow all food safety, site safety, and company procedures
- Support smooth camp operations and worker wellbeing
