This is an exceptional opportunity to join a State Government department as an AO3 Operations Officer based on-site in a dynamic operational environment. Working standard day shifts, this full-time contract offers 6 to 8 months of stable work with an immediate start. Serving as the crucial operational bridge between administrative systems and hands-on workshop environments, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating machinery repairs, contractor engagements and facilities audits to keep facilities running safely and efficiently.

Your new role n

Your duties will be tasks including but not limited to...

- n

Maintain and update equipment repair tracking data using computer systems and Microsoft Excel

n
- n

Inspect workshop tracking directly to assess repair requests for machinery and engage appropriate external contractors

n
- n

Manage contractor engagements, generate work orders, and process incoming invoices

n
- n

Collaborate closely with the Operations Coordinator to undertake regular facilities and cleaning audits

n
- n

Serve as an active, proactive link between administrative staff, trade personnel, and external stakeholders

n

What will you need to be successful in this role nn
- n

Demonstrated facilities experience, work order management skills, and basic invoice processing knowledge

n
- n

Proficiency with computer systems, particularly strong foundational skills in Microsoft Excel

n
- n

Solid understanding of trades, blue-collar operations, and workshop machinery environments

n
- n

Ownership of personal protective equipment (PPE),



specifically steel-capped boots

n
- n

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

n
- n

Strong confidence to ask questions on-site and maintain resilience when dealing with workshop personnel and contractors

n
