About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Restaurant & Bar Host / Hostess to join The Bristol team on a casual basis.

As one of the first points of contact for our guests, you’ll play an important role in creating a warm and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. You’ll welcome guests, manage bookings and seating, assist with enquiries and help ensure the restaurant and bar areas run smoothly throughout service.

We’re looking for someone who is confident, polished and genuinely enjoys engaging with people. You’ll be highly visible within the venue and work closely with the wider restaurant, bar and management teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Welcome guests warmly and create an exceptional first impression
- Manage bookings through SevenRooms, guest arrivals and seating arrangements
- Coordinate table allocations and ensure a smooth flow of guests throughout service
- Assist guests with enquiries, menu information and general venue information
- Communicate effectively with restaurant, bar and management teams
- Monitor guest needs throughout their visit and provide attentive, personalised service
- Maintain a professional, friendly and engaging presence at the host station and throughout the venue
- Assist with managing guest wait times and seating expectations during busy periods
- Maintain presentation and cleanliness of the host and guest arrival areas
- Help create a welcoming and polished atmosphere across the restaurant and bar

About You:

- Previous experience as a Host, Hostess, Restaurant Host,



Receptionist or similar customer-facing hospitality role highly regarded
- Previous experience in a premium restaurant, bar, hotel or high-volume hospitality venue preferred
- Warm, confident and naturally engaging personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional presentation and a strong attention to detail
- Confident managing bookings and interacting with guests
- Able to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual and team-oriented
- Flexible availability across days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Australian working rights
