HVAC Lead BIM Coordinator Location: Sydney
Salary: $130k–$150k + Super
Experience: 5+ years within the HVAC contractor workplace

An opportunity has arisen within the BIM function of a well-established national HVAC contractor delivering technically complex projects across Sydney. The business has built a strong reputation for its BIM capability, with an in-house team of eight that is widely regarded as one of the most capable BIM groups in the HVAC sector.

This role sits within a stable and well-resourced team, led by a highly experienced BIM Manager known for being hands-on, supportive, and invested in the development of their people.

The Role n

As Lead BIM Coordinator, you’ll take responsibility for the coordination and delivery of BIM outcomes on one or more major projects, with a strong focus on digital infrastructure and other technically demanding builds.

You’ll be involved from early design review through to construction delivery, working closely with project managers, construction teams, consultants, and external drafting partners. While this is a coordination-led position, hands-on Revit modelling and workshop drawing production will still form part of the role.
n Key responsibilities include:

- Reviewing consultant and contractor models and drawings
n




- Clash detection and coordination using Navisworks
n
- Model auditing and quality control in Revit
n
- Leading coordination meetings and constructability reviews
n
- Managing BIM documentation and model updates
n
- Supporting and mentoring BIM modellers and junior team members
n
- Coordinating and managing external drafting subcontractors
n
- Ongoing liaison with project and construction management teams
n

What We’re Looking For nn
- 5+ years’ experience in an HVAC contractor BIM or drafting environment
n
- Strong Revit and Navisworks capability, including clash detection and coordination
n
- Experience delivering large, technically complex projects (data centres, mission-critical, healthcare or major commercial)
n
- Confidence leading BIM processes and engaging with multiple stakeholders
n
- A practical, delivery-focused mindset suited to live construction environments
n
