Casual Retail Assistants – The Good Store Mayfield The Good Store is a current, small mixed health and convenience store opening in Mayfield. We are looking for three competent and reliable workers to join our team on rotating casual rosters.
Only one person will work in the shop at a time, so applicants must be confident working independently, serving customers and managing the store responsibly.
As this is a brand-new shop, it will initially be quiet while we introduce the business to the community. Some shifts may feel slow or boring at the beginning, but we expect the store to steadily grow as more customers discover us.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing friendly customer service
- Operating the register and processing payments
- Restocking and presenting products neatly
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Keeping the shop clean and organised
- Monitoring stock and advising when items are running low
- Opening and closing the store when rostered
- Working independently and taking responsibility for the shop during your shift
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, honest and punctual
- Competent and able to work without constant supervision
- Friendly and confident with customers
- Comfortable during quiet periods
- Proactive with cleaning, restocking and organising
- Available for a rotating roster, including some weekends
- Able to begin immediately
