Newport Fareham Pty Ltd T/A Orchard Montessori is a long-established Early Learning Long Day Care service delivering a Montessori-informed program to children aged three months to six years. We are seeking an experienced, Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educator to lead one of our rooms at our Maddington centre (12 Ballard Place, Maddington WA 6109).

Key duties

- Preparing materials and equipment for children's educational and recreational activities
- Preparing and conducting play-based and Montessori learning activities for children
- Managing children's behaviour and guiding their social development
- Engaging children through reading, storytelling, songs and games
- Supervising children in indoor and outdoor recreational activities
- Supervising children's daily routines, including meals, rest and transitions
- Supervising children's hygiene, and monitoring their health, safety and wellbeing
- Observing and documenting children's progress, and communicating with families
- Leading and supporting the educators working in the room

Skills and experience required

- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher),



or an equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA
- At least one year of relevant experience in a long day care or early learning setting
- Current Working with Children Check (WA)
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standard
- Familiarity with Montessori practice is highly regarded
- Strong communication skills with children, families and colleagues

Employment details

Full time, 38 hours per week. $77,000 – $86,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.

Pay: $77,000.00 – $86,000.00 per year
