ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Sales and Installation Technician, in this role, you will be key to helping customers secure and enhance their homes with premium Prowler Proof security screen products. This hands-on position combines expert sales consultation with skilled installation, allowing you to guide customers from initial enquiry through to the finished result. You will meet with customers in their homes to understand their needs, provide tailored product recommendations, and deliver professional advice on security and screening solutions. Using your technical expertise and attention to detail, you will then carry out high-quality installations that meet company standards, industry requirements, and customer expectations. You will be provided with a company vehicle (Serviced & includes fuel card), mobile phone and laptop to successfully fulfill the duties of your role
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions aligned with the Prowler Proof product range, ensuring advice is delivered professionally and respectfully.
- Provide clear, accurate information on product features, benefits, and pricing while maintaining a high standard of personal presentation and communication.
- Deliver excellence in customer service by cultivating strong relationships with new and existing customers and always representing the company with professionalism.
- Maintain a high level of company, product, and industry knowledge to ensure advice is credible, accurate, and aligned with organisational standards.
- Conduct in-home and onsite measures, prepare quotes, and support sales conversion in a manner that reflects company values, ethical practices, and customer focused service.
- Uphold professional conduct by demonstrating reliability, integrity, and positive engagement in all customer interactions.
- Participate in ongoing training, product updates, and professional development to ensure skills, knowledge, and conduct continuously meet company expectations.
- Install security screen products in residential and commercial applications in accordance with the Australian Standards, National Construction Code and company requirements.
- Perform accurate site measurements, adjustments, and product modifications to ensure correct fit, appearance, and functionality.
- Diagnose and resolve installation challenges, product issues, and site-specific constraints using sound technical judgement.
- Conduct repairs, servicing, and warranty work as required, ensuring all work meets quality and compliance expectations.
- Adhere to company procedures, installation protocols, and documentation requirements to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- MSF30913 Certificate III in Blinds, Awnings, Security Screens and grilles, and/or trade qualification in Carpentry/Cabinetry/Glazing
- Minimum 3 years Security Screen industry experience or demonstrated experience in a similar construction field.
- Queensland Construction White Card
- Open Manual Drivers Licence
- Commitment to and genuine interest in the provision of excellence in customer service.
- Organisational and time management skills with the ability to work to timeframes and prioritise workload.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, effectively managing own workload without continual guidance.
- Commitment to a process of continuous improvement.
