About the role

We are seeking a Section Waiter to join our hospitality team. This is a casual position offering flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, professional dining setting. As a Section Waiter, you will be responsible for delivering excellent service to our guests whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and attention to detail.

This role is integral to ensuring our guests have an outstanding dining experience and reflects the quality and values that Glorietta & Glory Days is known for.

What you'll be doing

- Taking food and beverage orders from guests and entering them into the point-of-sale system accurately
- Serving food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintaining knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and recommendations to assist guests with their selections
- Clearing tables promptly and maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout your section
- Responding to guest requests and resolving any issues or concerns with professionalism and discretion
- Assisting with table setup and breakdown as required
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and restaurant policies at all times
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen team,



bar staff and other servers to ensure seamless service delivery
- Handling cash and card payments accurately and securely

What we're looking for

- Previous experience working as a waiter or in a similar customer-facing hospitality role
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment whilst maintaining composure and professionalism
- Sound knowledge of dining etiquette, food service procedures and beverage knowledge
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- A positive attitude, reliability and commitment to punctuality
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous
- Food handling and responsible service of alcohol (RSA) certification preferred
