Role Description The Security Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Perth, WA, responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining electronic security systems for commercial clients. Day-to-day tasks include setting up Aceess Controll and CCTV, testing and commissioning new installations, diagnosing and resolving technical faults, and performing routine maintenance.

The role involves working with access control platforms, IP-based security networks,



and integrated system components to ensure reliable performance and compliance with safety and security standards.

The Security

Technician will also provide on-site support, explain system features to clients, complete documentation and service reports, and collaborate with project managers and other technicians to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in electronic security systems, including alarm and CCTV equipment.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and network security principles related to IP-based security and access control systems.
- Understanding of occupational health and safety practices, with a commitment to protected work procedures on client sites.
- Hands-on experience with alarm systems, access control platforms, and CCTV technologies, preferably in commercial environments.
- Relevant technical qualification or trade certification in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, reliable time management, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and technical documentation.
- Current manual driver’s license and ability to travel to client locations around Perth and wider WA as required.
