About the role

You will take ownership of the accounting function, with a structured handover to get you up to speed. You will lead administration and bookkeeping reporting to the CEO and working directly with the Directors. This is a full-time on-site role based at our Wangara office.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare monthly management accounting packs (including tailored P&L; Statements and cashflow analysis) for internal board meetings, with ownership and accuracy of monthly stock/WIP figures
- Monitor working capital and provide cashflow plans to top management for approval
- Analyze manufacturing, operational, or inventory costs to calculate precise profit margins per switchboard, project, and/or business unit
- Present budget and forecasts which include annual financial budgets and creating rolling forecasts, and present strategic initiatives and plans together with the CEO and key management
- Evaluate the financial viability of major investments, such as buying new machinery, expansion of warehouse, and new business opportunities
- Communicate, listen, plan and execute initiatives with key stakeholders within the organization (warehouse managers, leading hand, drafting team, purchasing etc)
- Review and improve internal business workflows, cost-allocation models, financial systems and ERP
- Own the month end — journals, accruals, reconciliations, close





About you

- Around 3–5 years in accounting, including full ownership of a month end
- Degree in accounting or commerce. CA or CPA complete or underway
- Experience building, coordinating, and managing complex annual budgets for multi-department organizations
- Have investigated expenditure, COGS, and revenue variances versus actual costing, and presenting the data
- Worked in cross-department collaboration initiatives
- Ability to simplify complex data
- ERP System proficiency – experience in MYOB Acumatica is a plus
- Excel data modelling
- Effective use of PowerPoint Presentations in order to communicate findings
- KPI tracking – designing and monitoring financial and operational dashboards
