Senior Air Conditioning Technician

Installation, Service & Diagnostics

$50 to $60 per hour plus incentives | Vehicle | No on-call | No weekends

We're building up our team in Melbourne's eastern suburbs and are looking for an experienced technician who already lives out that way. Bayswater, Boronia, Ferntree Gully, Ringwood, Croydon, Wantirna, Vermont, Knoxfield and surrounding areas.

We schedule as close to home as we sensibly can. When a breakdown or service call comes in near you, you're the first person we look at. Installations work differently. Those run as a team, and the team goes where the work is, which is mainly in the South Eastern suburbs.

This is a senior role. We're looking for someone who can take charge of an installation and run it properly, but is just as comfortable turning up to a diagnostic callout when the answer isn't obvious.

The work

We work across residential and commercial air conditioning: ducted and multi-head systems, VRV and VRF, splits and commercial plant.

There's a genuine mix of installation, service and fault-finding. If you've had enough of doing the same thing every day, you'll find plenty of variety here.

What we're looking for

Someone who can

- Take an installation from site inspection through to commissioning, with the crew alongside you and the office behind you

- Attend a site, work out what the job actually needs, take measurements and explain it to the customer in plain language

- Fault-find properly. A lot of our work is diagnostic and we'd rather have someone who digs in than someone who guesses. Your diagnostic work is now supported with AI to make the process faster,



easier and more accurate than ever before.

- Work well with customers and the crew across both domestic and commercial sites

Trade background A full trade qualification in air conditioning and refrigeration is the obvious fit.

We'll also talk to:

- Dual-trade plumbers with solid air conditioning experience

- Experienced electricians holding a split system installation certificate or Certificate II in split systems who have spent real time working in air conditioning installation

What matters to us is the depth of your air conditioning experience and how you fit with our crew, not only which certificate you started with.

You'll also need:

- Current refrigerant handling licence

- Current Australian driver's licence and full rights to work in Australia

- Your own hand tools. We supply everything else

What you get

- $50 to $60 per hour, depending on experience, plus incentives on work you generate

- $500 sign-on bonus

- Your own work vehicle, and you may get to pick a new one

- Set hours. No on-call. No weekends.





- The opportunity to join our charity projects in Vanuatu and Fiji from time to time. We cover the full cost for anyone on the team who wants to come. It's entirely optional and only when we're able to run them.

You're not out there on your own

You'll have real autonomy over your jobs and we'll expect you to take charge of them.

But you'll also have a full office behind you handling scheduling, equipment and materials ordering, plus a team who actually answer the phone when you call.

You run the job. We make sure you have the support behind you to do it properly.

Where this can go

Our Operations Manager has been in the trade for more than 30 years and is starting to think about winding back.

Over the next few years, there's a genuine opportunity for the right person to move towards site inspections, quoting larger installations and eventually helping run the operation.

We're not promising that simply because you take the job. It has to be earned, and that direction won't suit everyone. But the chance is real for someone who wants to keep progressing.
