This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enhancing the performance, sustainability, and future planning of critical healthcare assets across South Western Sydney Local Health District. In this position, you will lead the development and implementation of strategic asset management initiatives that directly support the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare services to the community. Working within a cooperative and experienced Assets & Property team, you will partner with facility managers, engineers, finance professionals, Health Infrastructure, and Ministry stakeholders to drive long-term investment planning, optimise asset performance, and deliver meaningful outcomes across a large and diverse health district.
You will also lead and support the continuous improvement of contemporary asset management systems and practices, helping to strengthen data quality, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making. With the opportunity to influence district-wide asset strategies, manage a specialist AFMO team, and contribute to projects that support the future growth and operational readiness of healthcare facilities, your work will have a lasting impact on the healthcare infrastructure that serves communities across the region.

You are an effective communicator who builds strong relationships and collaborates confidently with a broad range of stakeholders. Your ability to analyse data, develop lifecycle planning strategies,
and utilise asset management systems such as AFMO or similar platforms will be essential to your success in this role.

Selection Criteria To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Tertiary qualifications in asset management, engineering, facilities management, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Describe a time when you developed or implemented an asset management, maintenance, or lifecycle planning initiative across a complex organisation. What was your approach, and what outcomes were achieved?
- This role requires collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders to improve asset management practices, data quality, and compliance. Provide an example of a project where you successfully influenced stakeholders and led change to achieve a positive outcome.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
