Are you passionate about transforming complex data into meaningful insights that influence decisions at scale? Join the Business Analytics and Intelligence Team and play a key role in shaping the future of financial and operational reporting across NSW Health. As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will design and deliver enterprise-grade analytics solutions that support some of the largest and most complex health datasets in Australia, spanning finance, procurement, patient billing and activity-based funding.

Working with modern cloud-based technologies including Snowflake, dbt and Power BI, you will help build trusted data products that enable better planning, performance monitoring and resource allocation across the health system. This is an exciting opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with stakeholder engagement, innovation and strategic thinking while contributing to outcomes that improve health services for communities across NSW.

What you will be doing

- Lead the design and delivery of enterprise business intelligence solutions that integrate data from multiple financial and operational systems across NSW Health.
- Develop scalable data models, transformation pipelines and reporting solutions using modern analytics platforms such as Snowflake, dbt and Power BI.
- Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Procurement,



Revenue and Activity Based Management teams to translate business needs into actionable insights and reporting products.
- Provide expert advice on business intelligence architecture, data modelling and analytics engineering practices while supporting continuous improvement and innovation. Ensure analytics solutions align with enterprise data platforms, governance requirements, privacy obligations and strategic priorities.

About you We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional who can support the work of NSW Health with:

- Advanced experience developing business intelligence solutions using Power BI, including data visualisation, dashboard design and reporting best practices.
- Strong expertise in data modelling, data warehousing and cloud-based analytics platforms such as Snowflake or equivalent technologies.
- Experience designing and implementing data transformation frameworks and pipelines using tools such as dbt or similar approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects, balance competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and influence outcomes across diverse business groups.
