The Opportunity The UN Global Compact Network Australia (UNGCNA) is seeking a highly capable marketing professional with strong B2B marketing experience to join our team as Senior Coordinator, Marketing Communications on a 6-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in delivering UNGCNA's marketing, communications and events programs, contributing to an established body of meaningful work at the intersection of business and sustainability. Working across digital marketing, member engagement, content development, marketing automation and flagship events, you'll help bring our brand, programs and thought leadership to life for business audiences across Australia.
Working within a small, dynamic team, this opportunity is ideally suited to someone who thrives in a lean and agile environment, can quickly build relationships across a diverse stakeholder landscape, and enjoys the variety of managing multiple priorities across the organisation. You will take ownership of an established portfolio or marketing and communications activity and contribute to Australia's leading corporate sustainability initiative, helping businesses advance responsible business practices and sustainable growth.
The role offers exposure to some of Australia's leading organisations, sustainability professionals, government representatives and business leaders, while providing the opportunity to build specialist expertise in sustainability communications, stakeholder engagement and responsible business advocacy.
The contract will run from approximately early November 2026 to early May 2027. Please note there is strong potential for this arrangement to extend on a part-time job share basis for a further two to three months as the substantive employee returns from leave on a gradual, part-time basis. Requirements
These are a few practical requirements associated with the role:
· A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, communications, events, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
· Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or current working rights in Australia.
· Availability for the full six-month fixed-term contract.

with the confidence to step into an established program of work and contribute from day one
Essential
- At least four years of demonstrated experience in B2B marketing and communications.
- Advanced Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) capability.
- Advanced Salesforce CRM capability.
- Experience developing and managing email marketing automation, nurture campaigns and audience engagement programs.
- Strong content development, writing and editing skills across multiple channels and formats.
- Proven ability to use LinkedIn as a strategic B2B communications channel to engage professional audiences, amplify thought leadership and drive stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and willingness to be hands-on in delivery.
- The ability to quickly understand existing processes and an established program of work.
- Advanced Pardot and Salesforce CRM experience is essential. The successful candidate will be expected to manage and optimise existing systems, campaigns and reporting processes from commencement and contribute immediately within an established program of work.
Highly regarded
- Experience engaging professional, member, corporate or business audiences.
- Experience in sustainability, ESG, corporate affairs, professional services, industry associations or purpose-led organisations.
- Familiarity with responsible business practices or ESG communications.
- Experience supporting the delivery of events, thought leadership programs or stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Experience using Canva and WordPress.

- Project Delivery: proven ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion, and to pick up an in-flight program of work quickly.
- Digital and Technological Literacy: proficiency in marketing automation tools (Pardot), CRM systems (Salesforce), and digital content platforms.

- Stakeholder Engagement: skilled in building and maintaining relationships with partners and sponsors.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: demonstrated experience introducing current approaches and technologies.
The Role
As Senior Coordinator, Marketing Communications, you will help bring UNGCNA's brand, programs and member engagement activities to life.
Operating within a lean and agile team, you'll take ownership of an established portfolio of marketing, communications and event initiatives, applying your B2B marketing expertise while developing specialist experience in sustainability communications. From managing digital campaigns and marketing automation to supporting flagship events and stakeholder engagement,
you'll play a key role in ensuring UNGCNA's work reaches and resonates with business audiences across Australia.
Marketing & communications
- Play an integral role in the delivery of UNGCNA's marketing plan through strategic content development and campaign execution.
- Develop compelling content for digital and print marketing materials, ensuring alignment with UNGCNA brand guidelines.
- Coordinate social media strategy and execution across LinkedIn
- Manage Pardot marketing automation and email marketing campaigns to enhance lead generation and engagement.
- Analyse campaign performance and implement data-driven improvements.
Events
- Work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager on the coordination and delivery of UNGCNA's flagship brand events, including program design, logistics, and stakeholder engagement.
- Serve as primary contact for event suppliers and oversee contract approvals.
- Ensure post-event evaluation and reporting to inform continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with third-party marketing and brand agencies.
Team & administration
- Coordinate regular meetings with our marketing agency, under the guidance of the Senior Marketing Manager.
- Support the onboarding and mentoring of interns, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on marketing best practices.
- Contribute to organisational strategy discussions and planning processes.
- Oversee the annual activities schedule.
- Other general administrative and office management duties as required.
