SENIOR ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER – ISANO / SYSTEMS INTEGRATION

Extension: 1 x 12 months, up to 220 working days

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

Azooa is seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Project Manager to support the establishment of the Integrated Sensor Architecture National Office under Project AMP06006.

This senior role sits within a complex Army systems-integration environment and will coordinate the planning, governance and delivery activities needed to establish the national office and support its initial prototyping, integration, assurance and test-and-evaluation activities.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY The Integrated Sensor Architecture is a United States-developed military-off-the-shelf data standard designed to enable different sensors to integrate across a common network. The national office will provide integration advice, engineering support and assurance to help Land projects integrate sensor capabilities into tactical networks.

You will work closely with the Systems Engineer, technical specialists, Army capability projects, Defence stakeholders, industry partners and external Integrated Sensor Architecture stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and maintain the AMP06006 Stage 2 Project Management Plan.
- Manage the project work breakdown structure, schedule, risks and stakeholders.
- Coordinate engineering, systems-integration, assurance and verification activities.
- Manage delivery schedules, dependencies and risks across a multidisciplinary team.
- Plan and track engineering reviews, technical-governance forums and project milestones.
- Coordinate reporting on technical risks, engineering issues and integration activities.
- Support engineering-assurance and standards-implementation outcomes.
- Coordinate engagement with Army capability projects,



industry partners and external stakeholders.
- Manage project budget, schedule, resources and governance reporting.
- Coordinate prototyping, trials and test-and-evaluation activities.
- Produce and maintain project documentation, reports, technical artefacts and records.
- Support knowledge transfer, handover and continuity of capability.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must demonstrate

- A master's degree or higher in Project Management, Program Management, Engineering Management, Business Administration, Management Studies or a closely related discipline.
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Computer Science, Systems Science or an equivalent technical discipline.
- A recognised project-management accreditation, or immediate eligibility to obtain one, such as PMP, CPPM, CPPP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP Practitioner or equivalent.
- At least 15 years of industry experience in engineering or project management, preferably within ICT environments.
- Experience managing complex engineering, systems-integration, ICT, C4I or Defence capability projects.
- A current NV1 clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain NV1 before commencement.
- The ability to obtain and maintain any higher clearance required during the engagement.

- Membership of Engineers Australia, AIPM, PMI or an equivalent professional body.

SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE The successful candidate must hold a minimum NV1 clearance at commencement and maintain the required clearance throughout the engagement. An NV2 upgrade may be required during the contract.

The role requires compliance with applicable ITAR requirements, Defence security and conduct requirements, mandatory training and the relevant probity framework. A three-month probation period applies to new contracted key personnel.

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS The position is based at the Land Network Integration Centre in Symonston, ACT. Full-time onsite attendance is preferred. Limited non-permanent work-from-home or remote arrangements may be considered case by case.

RATE GUIDANCE

Azooa's recommended maximum candidate rate is up to $166.85 per hour, including super.

Azooa's recommended value-for-money position is approximately $133.58 per hour, including super. A submission around this rate is expected to present a particularly competitive commercial position where the candidate also demonstrates strong technical alignment.

Candidates contracting through an ABN or ACN should provide their proposed rate excluding GST. Strong candidates seeking a rate above the value-for-money position, but within the recommended maximum, are still encouraged to apply.
