About the Company

Harrison Barratt Group is partnering with a well-regarded Sydney commercial builder delivering new build, fit-out and refurbishment projects across workplace, retail, hospitality, education, health and government. Known for quality delivery, repeat clients and promoting from within, they're now looking to bring on an experienced Senior Estimator to join their CBD-based pre-construction team.

About the Position

As Senior Estimator, you'll work closely with the Estimating Manager and own the tender process from enquiry through to submission. Projects range in value from $1M to $50M, with a mix of current build and fit-out work. The business is selective about what it prices, so tenders are properly resourced, and win rates are strong.

What You'll Do

- Lead tenders on commercial recent build and fit-out projects up to $50M
- Prepare detailed cost plans, take-offs, trade breakdowns and preliminaries
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation, and write subcontractor scopes of work
- Run the subcontractor tender process, including trade comparisons and negotiations
- Identify risks, scope gaps and value engineering opportunities
- Attend site inspections, client meetings and post-tender interviews
- Hand won projects over to the delivery team cleanly




- Mentor and support junior estimators

What You'll Bring

- Proven experience as a Estimator with a Tier 1 - Tier 3 commercial builder
- A solid record of pricing commercial new build and/or fit-out projects in the $10M–$50M range
- Solid construction knowledge, including methodology, programming and preliminaries
- Confidence using CostX, Cubit, Bluebeam or similar software
- Strong relationships with Sydney subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
- Sharp commercial judgement and the ability to manage multiple tenders at once
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying (desired)
