About the Role

As the Senior Controls Assurance Manager, you will lead the design and delivery of a robust, enterprise-wide controls assurance program. Sitting within the Risk & Compliance function, this role is responsible for providing independent oversight on the effectiveness of key controls, ensuring risks are appropriately managed and regulatory obligations are met.

You'll partner closely with senior stakeholders across the business to uplift control maturity, embed best practice, and drive a proactive risk culture. Leading a high-performing team, you will oversee control testing, identify gaps and trends, and deliver clear, actionable insights to support informed decision-making at an executive level.

This is a highly visible role with significant influence, offering the opportunity to shape assurance strategy and strengthen the organisation's overall control environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development and execution of the controls assurance framework and testing program.
- Provide independent assessment of control effectiveness across risk and compliance areas.
- Identify control gaps, recommend improvements, and track remediation outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Deliver clear, insightful reporting to executive leadership and risk committees.
- Guide and mentor team members, fostering a high-performing assurance function.
- Support regulatory and internal audit requirements as needed.

About You

- You're a confident and experienced assurance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, complex setting.
- Proven experience in risk, compliance, or controls assurance roles.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and internal controls.
- Experience leading assurance reviews, control testing, or audit activities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Ability to translate technical findings into clear business insights.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members is highly desirable.
