This opportunity would suit a Civil Designer with a strong urban development background who enjoys being hands-on with design, is comfortable taking ownership of complex work and is interested in progressing towards a Principal Designer role over time.
The position will primarily focus on residential, commercial and mixed-use urban development projects, with some involvement in broader civil infrastructure work.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering civil design packages across the project lifecycle, from initial concept and DA through to detailed design and construction.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Earthworks, roads and stormwater drainage
- Water and sewer reticulation
- BOQs and construction documentation
- Design using 12d Model and AutoCAD
- Coordination with engineers and other disciplines
- Reviewing and mentoring designers and drafters
- Working to relevant Australian Standards and authority requirements
What We're Looking For
- Strong urban development civil design experience
- Experience taking projects through to construction
- Strong 12d Model and AutoCAD skills
- Working knowledge of the 12d Drainage Module; dynamic drainage advantageous
- Experience across earthworks, roads, stormwater, water and sewer
- Good understanding of Australian Standards and local/state authority requirements
- Practical, delivery-focused approach with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable reviewing and mentoring other designers
- Civil infrastructure and design coordination experience would be advantageous
- An interest in progressing towards a Principal Designer position
