Western Downs Digital Park

Western Downs Digital Park is a major new hyperscale data centre campus at Kogan in Queensland. Planned across multiple delivery phases, it brings together AI-ready data centres, energy infrastructure and a purpose-built campus workplace. This is an opportunity to help shape a critical new digital infrastructure asset from the ground up.

The role The Senior Project Manager HV Utilities will lead the end-to-end delivery of the high-voltage connection and utility infrastructure required for Western Downs Digital Park. You will own this critical workstream from network-provider engagement, approvals and detailed design through procurement, construction, testing, energisation and handover.

Power availability is a critical-path dependency for the campus. You will be Zerra DC's primary working-level relationship holder with the electricity network provider and HV supply chain, coordinating closely with Construction Delivery, PMO, Design, Capital Project Controls, Commissioning and Operations.

What you will lead

- The HV and utilities delivery programme, including the network connection, substations and associated campus infrastructure.
- Network connection applications, design approvals, technical interfaces and energisation milestones.
- HV design consultants, specialist contractors, equipment vendors and utility-side delivery teams.




- Procurement and delivery of long-lead HV equipment, including transformers, switchgear, protection and control systems.
- Integration of HV works with base build, commissioning, integrated systems testing and operational handover.
- The HV risk register, contingency planning and early escalation of threats to the energisation date.
- Compliance with Australian and Queensland electrical-safety, network and technical standards.
- Clear programme, cost, progress and risk reporting for technical and non-technical project leaders.

What you will bring

You will be a senior HV infrastructure or utility-connection project manager with the technical credibility and delivery discipline to lead a high-stakes workstream with significant autonomy.

- At least 12 years of experience delivering HV electrical infrastructure, substations or major utility connections.
- Direct experience managing an electricity network provider through application, design approval, construction and energisation.
- Strong knowledge of substations, transformers, switchgear, protection, earthing, metering and network connections.
- Experience managing long-lead equipment procurement and specialist HV contractors.
- Programme capability using Primavera P6, MS Project or an equivalent scheduling platform.
- Working knowledge of Australian electrical-safety and network technical standards; Queensland network experience is advantageous.
- Data centre, industrial, energy, resources or large-scale infrastructure project experience is highly regarded.
- An Electrical Engineering qualification is preferred; chartership, RPEQ eligibility and project-management accreditation are advantageous.
