Description:

About The Role n

We are currently looking for a Casual Laboratory Assistant to join our team at our brand-new Perth facility, located in Canning Vale. This modern laboratory and office space offers the latest technology, on-site parking, and contemporary amenities designed for comfort and efficiency. This is an entry-level position with flexible hours available Monday to Friday, ideally between 8 am and 7:00 pm (minimum 30 hours per week). Afternoon availability is preferred. The role is physically active and hands-on, involving moderate lifting and manual handling.

Responsibilities n

- Perform sample sorting, weighing, and splitting of both liquid and solid sample types
n
- Operate laboratory machinery including the LM2 Pulverising Mill and Jaw Crusher
n
- Support Laboratory chemists and technicians with day-to-day activities
n
- Prepare client container orders for dispatch
n
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and manage waste disposal
n
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and PPE requirements
n

About You n

The ideal candidate will possess:

- Interest in science and laboratory work
n
- Reliable, hardworking, and punctual
n
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
n
- Proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
n
- A team player with good communication skills
n
- BSc or Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques is advantageous but not required
n
