Are you an experienced Foreman looking for your next contract opportunity in the Hunter/Maitland region? A well-established Tier 2 commercial and retail builder, based in Sydney with active projects across NSW, is seeking a hands-on Contract Foreman to lead site delivery on a commercial construction project in the Hunter/Maitland area.

About the Role
n
This is a contract position suited to a Foreman who thrives in office, keeps trades accountable, and can run day-to-day construction activities on a commercial or retail build. You'll report to the Site/Project Manager and be responsible for the safe, efficient, and quality delivery of works on-site.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and trades on-site
n
- Drive daily site operations, programming, and sequencing of works
n
- Maintain and update site records, diaries, and documentation via Procore
n
- Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, and site safety standards
n
- Liaise with the Project Manager, consultants, and client representatives
n
- Support toolbox talks, inductions, and site inspections
n
- Monitor progress against program and flag delays or risks early
n

About You
n
n
- Trade qualification in Carpentry or a Construction-related discipline (required)
n
- Working knowledge of Procore (required)
n
- Proven experience as a Foreman on commercial and/or retail construction projects (highly regarded)
n
- Strong understanding of NSW WHS requirements and site safety compliance
n
- Excellent communication and subcontractor management skills
n
- Based in or willing to work in the Hunter/Maitland region
n
- Current White Card and relevant NSW construction certifications
n
