Senior Risk, Compliance and Investigations Project Officer, Temporary opportunity up to 24 months, based in Sydney CBD with hybrid and flexible working options available The Department of Customer Service seeks a project leader to join Governance, Risk and Assurance as Senior Risk, Compliance and Investigations Project Officer.
- Full Time, temporary opporuntity up to 24 months (with the possibility to extend or make ongoing if an opportunity arises)
- Based in Sydney CBD with hybrid and flexible working options available
- Clerk Grade 9/10 Salary: $133,349 - $146,946+ super, commensurate with experience
- Manage projects for uplifting Risk, Compliance, Investigations and Privacy for one of NSW’s largest and most complex portfolios
Reporting to the Director Compliance, Risk & Resilience, you will both manage key projects across the directorate and lead implementation post project delivery across the Department and it’s agencies. You will set clear expectations, build practical capability and help executives and teams manage deliverables, risk and provide solutions.
Your responsibilities will include
- Leading the planning, coordination and delivery of complex projects
- Managing project schedules, budgets, risks, issues and dependencies to ensure successful delivery outcomes
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, vendors and delivery partners
- Coordinating working groups, committees and project governance activities to support project milestones and outcomes
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation, reports, briefs and status updates
- Monitoring project performance and identify opportunities to improve delivery outcomes and mitigate risks
- Undertaking research and analysis to support evidence-based decision-making and project planning
About you You are a pragmatic project leader who can turn complex needs into suitable, evidence based solutions. You bring:
- Strong project management capability with experience planning and delivering complex projects within technology, government or related environments
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and vendors
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate working groups, governance activities and competing priorities
- Experience preparing and managing project documentation, reporting and project management systems
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Robust knowledge of DCS, it’s structure and functions.
