Essential Skills

- 10 years of Java development experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17/21 and Spring Boot 3.x/4.x.

- Proven experience building Microservices, REST APIs, and API Gateways.

- Strong understanding of JVM internals, memory management, garbage collection, multithreading, and performance tuning.

- Experience with Kafka, SQL, and NoSQL databases (preferably Couchbase).

- Hands-on experience with JUnit, automated testing, and SonarQube/code quality tools.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and cloud-native environments.

- Strong troubleshooting, technical design, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to support, deploy, and maintain production applications.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.

Desired Skills

- Python scripting or development experience.

- Experience in telecommunications or large-scale enterprise environments.

- Exposure to cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.

- Australian Citizen preferred.
