An opportunity has become available for a Senior Accountant to join the Tax division of a highly regarded AFR accounting firm. Recognised for its expertise across Accounting, Tax, Corporate Finance and Audit, the firm has experienced significant growth over the past 12 months and continues to invest heavily in its people. You'll work closely with two Partners, gaining exposure to a broad range of industries and technical work rather than being confined to a single portfolio. This structure provides exceptional mentoring, accelerated learning and exposure to both compliance and advisory services.

This role will operate within the private clients division with turnovers up to $300 million.

Responsibilities

- Assist with managing a diverse portfolio of private companies, trusts, investment entities and family groups
- Prepare and review income tax returns
- Provide tax advice across Div7a, CGT, trusts, FBT, small business concessions
- Contribute to strategic tax planning, corporate structuring wealth creation and broader business advisory and value-add client projects




- Build strong relationships with clients and act as point of contact for day to day matters
- Review work prepared by junior accountants and provide technical guidance

Applicants

- Approximately 4 years experience or more within public practice accounting
- CA, CPA, MTax, CTA, or equivalent, studying or qualified
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Commercial mindset with sound analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Motivated, proactive and eager to continue developing your technical skills
