Job Description

The Instructional Specialist position will operate across the West Coast schools, with an allocation of 0.4 FTE at Rosebery District School and a further 0.3 FTE supporting schools across the West Coast.

This role supports schools to improve student outcomes in reading and, where possible, numeracy by helping teachers implement evidence-based teaching practices and the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The position provides coaching, professional learning, and data-driven support to strengthen classroom instruction, interventions, and consistent teaching practices across the school while ensuring compliance with departmental policies and child safety requirements.

Essential

- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
n
- A registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act 2000.
n

Desirable

n

n




- Four years or more training as defined in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award 2005.
n

n
