Boekeman Machinery is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager or Service Coordinator to join our team at our Dalwallinu Branch.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the success of our Service Department. Depending on your experience and skills, you may be appointed as either a Service Manager or Service Coordinator.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in workshop administration, service coordination, customer service, scheduling, parts interpreting, or workshop leadership within the agricultural, automotive, transport or heavy diesel industries.

About the Role

As our Service Manager or Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of our Service Department, ensuring customers receive exceptional service while maintaining effective workshop scheduling, communication and administration. The successful candidate's responsibilities will vary depending on experience and position level but may include workshop coordination, customer service, team leadership, workflow management, departmental administration and performance management.

The Service Coordinator role focuses on workshop operations, customer service, scheduling and workflow management, while the Service Manager role also includes responsibility for team leadership, departmental performance, budgeting and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities





Service Coordinator

- Coordinate daily workshop scheduling, job allocation and technician workloads
- Manage customer enquiries, service bookings and repair updates
- Monitor work in progress to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time
- Assist with job costing, quotations, invoicing and warranty administration
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and OEM representatives
- Work closely with Parts and Sales departments to deliver exceptional customer service
- Maintain accurate service records and support workshop performance reporting
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with WHS requirements

Additional Responsibilities - Service Manager

- Lead, mentor and develop Technicians, Apprentices and Service personnel
- Manage workshop productivity, labour recovery, efficiency and profitability targets
- Oversee departmental budgets, KPIs and financial performance
- Manage recruitment, performance management and employee development
- Handle escalated customer concerns and major service decisions
- Drive strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives across the Service Department

Applicants may be considered for either the Service Coordinator or Service Manager position depending on their experience, qualifications and leadership capabilities. Salary and responsibilities will be aligned to the successful candidate's level of experience.

About You

To be successful in this role, you may have:

- Experience as a Service Manager, Service Coordinator, Workshop Administrator, Parts Interpreter, Leading Hand, Foreman or similar role
- Strong organisational and time management skills




- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Sound computer literacy and experience using business management systems
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Agricultural, automotive, transport or heavy diesel industry experience highly regarded
- Trade qualifications in Heavy Diesel, Agricultural Machinery, Automotive or a related field will be highly regarded for Service Manager applicants
- Demonstrated leadership experience will be highly regarded for Service Manager applicants
