CJETS Civil and Mechanical is looking for a full time Skilled Labourer to join our team, primarily based in Amberley with opportunities to work on projects along the Gold Coast. In this role, you will support our construction and engineering operations, contributing to projects that require precision, safety, and professionalism. You will have the chance to work alongside experienced tradespeople in a results-driven environment.
MUST BE WILLING TO UNDERGO AN AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE CHECK AS PER PRINCIPAL CONTRACTOR'S REQUIREMENTS.
What you'll be doing
- Assist with preparing work sites; some concreting may be required.
- Operating hand tools and light plant equipment safely and efficiently
- Assisting with the loading, unloading and transportation of materials and equipment
- Maintaining site cleanliness, organisation and compliance with site procedures and safety protocols
- Supporting the installation and maintenance of civil infrastructure and mechanical systems
- Performing general labouring duties and adhering to project timelines and specifications
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Skilled Labourer within the civil or mechanical construction industry
- Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding manual tasks in varying weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to take direction and work collaboratively
- Reliable and punctual, with a professional approach to work
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport.
- Relevant certifications or licences, including a White Card or plant operator tickets (advantageous)
- Confined space trained or willing to be trained.
