Vic’s Meat | Mascot Vic’s Meat is looking for an experienced Smallgoods Maker to join our production team in Mascot.
This is a hands-on role for someone who knows smallgoods production and is comfortable working across different products, equipment and processes.
About the role
You’ll be involved in:
- Preparing meat for seasoning, curing and production
- Making sausages, ham, bacon, cured meats and other smallgoods
- Mixing seasonings, spices, salts and other ingredients
- Operating mincers, grinders, mixers, tumblers, fillers, clippers and other production equipment
- Using smoking, cooking and curing equipment
- Following recipes and production specifications
- Checking product quality and consistency
- Preparing finished products for distribution
- Helping with production planning and stock requirements
- Keeping work areas clean, safe and organised
- Working across different areas of production when needed
About you
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Around 3 years or more experience in smallgoods, meat processing or industrial butchery
- Experience using meat-processing equipment
- A good understanding of curing, filling, smoking and cooked meat production
- Good food safety and hygiene practices
- Strong attention to detail
- A reliable and practical attitude
- The ability to work well with the team
- Pride in producing a quality product
