Degani Box Hill is currently looking for a fulltime Sous Chef. The successful candidate will focus on satisfying customer needs, preparing food and run day today kitchen operations.Responsibilities are as follows:
- A hands on role showing leadership in quality workmanship and brilliant presentation in a fast pace environment
- Prepare food for cooking
- Prepare food using necessary ingredients and equipement
- Check food to ensure its quality
- Train the kitchen staff, while establishing a working environment adheres to proper work schedule
- Take full responsibility in ordering supplies including proper stock inventory
- Follow the Australian health regulations and safety standards
Suitable candidate is
- Fully qualified as a chef
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar environment
- High level of skills in teamwork and leadership
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Be able to create new menus
- have adaptable availability and reliability to work a varying work roster
Pay: $79,900.00 – $89,528.40 per year
