Job Opportunity: Sous Chef – The Modbury Hotel in the Northern Suburbs

Are you an experienced and driven chef ready to take the next step in your career? The King Hotel Group is looking for a Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at The Modbury Hotel, one of our thriving family-owned hotels in the Northern Suburbs.

Working alongside our Head Chef, you'll help lead the kitchen, support and train the team, and keep standards high across every service.

We are looking for candidates with:

- A demonstrated passion and discipline for serving quality and simply delicious food

- Minimum 4 years of experience in a commercial kitchen

- Prior experience with ordering and stock control

- Proven leadership skills and the ability to run the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence

- Proven experience as a team player

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high standards

- Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent





- Excellent verbal communication skills

- Experience in prep work, deep frying, functions, grill, pan work, cold larder, and pizza
- A high emphasis on food hygiene

- Reliable means of transport

- Ability to work over a 7-day roster

- Reliability

- Unrestricted working rights in Australia (please note we will not consider anyone applying from outside of the country).
