Electronic Security & Network Specialist n

You'll work across commercial and enterprise electronic security systems and the IT/network infrastructure that supports them.

n

You'll be involved in commissioning, configuring, integrating, servicing, diagnosing systems and working out what is happening when something doesn't work as it should.

n

This could mean determining whether the problem is the security device, its configuration, the network, a server, software or the integration between systems.

n

We need someone who can think logically, investigate and solve the problem.

n

Key responsibilities

n

Commissioning and configuring IP based camera systems

n

Working with access control, VMS, intercom and integrated security systems

n

Configuring and diagnosing IP-connected devices

n

Working with IP addressing, subnetting, switches and VLANs

n

Diagnosing network and communications issues

n

Working with Windows PCs and servers associated with security systems

n

Configuring software and system integrations

n

Providing remote diagnostics and technical support

n

Fault finding across hardware, software and networks

n

Working with customers and their IT teams

n

Supporting the Access Alarms team on more complex technical issues

n

You’ll Fit Right In If You

n

Have proven experience and education on High level Security Controllers

n

Have proven experience and education on Networking and infrastructure

n

Are comfortable with switches, VLANs, IP addressing and network diagnostics

n

Have experience with network-connected devices and systems

n





Be able to load windows operating systems, complete updates and diagnostics

n

Understand how hardware, software and networks interact

n

Enjoy commissioning, configuration and fault finding

n

Approach technical problems logically and systemically

n

Are comfortable working independently in the field and provide support to others

n

Communicate well with customers and understand implementing of technology to assist

n

Proactively improve your skills and solve problems

n

You don't need to know every security system or platform we use.

n

If you're strong in networking but have less electronic security experience, we'd still like to hear from you.

n

Likewise, if you're an experienced Electronic Security Technician with genuinely solid IT and networking skills, you could be exactly who we're looking for.
