The Opportunity

Join a leading data centre owner-operator and play a key role in delivering mechanical projects across a growing hyperscale data centre portfolio in Sydney.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with direct data centre experience to take ownership of mechanical works across the full project lifecycle, from design and procurement through construction, commissioning and handover.

Working client-side, you'll collaborate with engineering, operations and delivery teams, alongside consultants and contractors, to deliver complex mechanical infrastructure within a hyperscale environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage mechanical project delivery across a hyperscale data centre portfolio, from design development through construction, commissioning and handover.
- Oversee mechanical services packages, including HVAC, chilled water, cooling systems and associated plant infrastructure.
- Coordinate consultants, mechanical contractors, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
- Manage project scope, programme, budgets, procurement, variations, quality and risk.
- Review designs, technical submissions, construction methodologies and commissioning documentation.
- Ensure mechanical systems meet project specifications, compliance requirements and stringent data centre performance standards.
- Coordinate works within live or operational data centre environments, where required.
- Drive safety,



quality and performance across all stages of project delivery.

About You

- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager delivering data centre projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services, including HVAC, chilled water and critical cooling systems.
- Experience managing mechanical packages on hyperscale, colocation or other mission-critical data centre projects.
- Demonstrated experience across the project lifecycle, including design coordination, construction, commissioning and handover.
- Background with a mechanical contractor, data centre developer, owner-operator or relevant project delivery organisation.
- Strong commercial, contractual and programme management skills.
- Confident managing contractors, consultants and multiple stakeholders in complex project environments.
- Relevant mechanical engineering, building services or trade qualifications.
