About the Role
This role gives you responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of construction projects across the government and community sector, typically ranging from $5M to $20M. Rather than a single fixed project, you'll be stepping into an ongoing pipeline of work spanning education, health, sporting and community facilities, with the autonomy to shape delivery from planning through to handover.

You'll report into senior leadership within an established business, working alongside experienced site and commercial teams rather than building a function from scratch. The projects vary in scope and sector, which keeps the work genuinely varied without the volatility of chasing new work in a less reliable market segment.

Key Responsibilities

- Take ownership of project delivery from award through to practical completion and handover
- Manage program, budget and quality outcomes across one or more concurrent projects
- Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and consultants to keep delivery on track
- Build and maintain relationships with government and institutional clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify and manage commercial and programme risk, escalating issues before they affect delivery
- Work closely with contracts administration and site management to align commercial and construction outcomes

Essential Requirements

- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering projects in the $5M to $20M range, ideally within government, education,



health or community sectors
- Background with a Tier 2/3 or regional commercial builder, with genuine end-to-end project accountability
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding, including standard form construction contracts
- Career stability and a clean record for medical checks, a Working With Children Check and, where required, a police check

Desirable Extras

- Experience delivering projects for government or institutional clients specifically
- Familiarity with Procore, Aconex, HammerTech, JobPac or MS Project
- A background that spans multiple project types or sectors rather than a single niche
