Established commercial fit out builder delivering medical, healthcare, aged care, education and workplace projects across Sydney seeking a project manager to join their established team paying a salary of up to $185K + Super based in Sydney CBD.

Established & growing business with a strong reputation and a steady pipeline of work, much of it coming from repeat clients and long standing industry relationships.

Projects include medical suites, day hospitals, IVF clinics, radiology centers and aged care facilities, generally valued between $1M and $20M.

The business provides experienced site and commercial support, so its Project Managers can focus on leading their projects rather than being stretched across too many tasks.

About the Role

Based in the Sydney CBD, you will lead one major project or a small portfolio of projects as head contractor.

You will own each project from preconstruction handover through to final account, managing the client relationship and coordinating the commercial, design and site teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assessing scope, program and commercial risk upfront
- Procuring trades and letting subcontract packages
- Leading design coordination and resolving documentation issues




- Managing clients, consultants and stakeholders
- Working with the Site Manager to drive program, quality and safety
- Overseeing cost reporting, variations and claims
- Protecting project margin and commercial outcomes
- Delivering handover, defects and final account

You will ideally bring:

- Experience delivering fitout projects valued between $1M and $20M
- Medical, healthcare, aged care or education experience (highly regarded)
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence managing project financials
- Experience working in live and operational environments
- Procore or similar software experience
- A construction management, building or related qualification
