Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in strengthening the organisation's commercial frameworks, improving procurement practices and ensuring the business is appropriately positioned to manage commercial and contractual risk. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing commercial leadership across major contracts, tenders, suppliers and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the commercial function across procurement, commercial contracts, risk and governance.
- Own and manage the end-to-end bid and tender process, including commercial submissions, negotiations and contract reviews.
- Lead the negotiation, development and management of key commercial agreements and supplier contracts.
- Develop and enhance procurement strategies, processes and commercial frameworks.
- Identify, assess and manage commercial and contractual risks across the business.
- Establish appropriate governance frameworks, policies and controls.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to provide commercially focused advice on key business decisions.
- Review and negotiate supplier, customer and subcontractor agreements.
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes, supplier performance and cost management.




- Ensure appropriate commercial governance throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Support the business through major tenders, contract renewals, negotiations and strategic commercial initiatives.

About you

We are looking for a commercially astute leader who can operate across contracts, procurement, risk and governance and is comfortable working at both a strategic and hands-on level.
Ideally, you will bring:

- Significant experience across commercial contracts, procurement, risk and governance.
- A law degree or legal background, preferably with experience in commercial contracts.
- Strong experience managing bids, tenders and commercial negotiations.
- The ability to interpret complex contractual issues and translate them into practical commercial advice.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Experience developing and implementing commercial frameworks, processes and governance.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with strong commercial judgement.
- Experience within property services, facilities management, construction, infrastructure or another service-based setting would be advantageous.
