Pearl Recruitment are currently seeking 2 x experienced Boilermakers for our client, a well-established engineering and fabrication business servicing the mining, resources and industrial sectors. Based in Canning Vale, this role offers an immediate start with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
Position Available:
- 1 x Flux Welder
- 1 x Tig Welder
What’s on Offer:
- Location: Canning Vale
- Workshop based
- Monday to Friday
- 6am/7am Start – work an 8-hour day (40 hour week base)
- $55 - $60 p/hr + penalties (depending on experience)
- Immediate start
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminium and other metals.
- Perform flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) on heavy structural and industrial components.
- Carry out welding, fabrication and repairs on heavy equipment, rigs or mining-related equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and welding specifications.
- Set up welding equipment, select appropriate settings and prepare materials.
- Complete high-quality welds to required WPS, quality and safety standards.
- Conduct visual inspections and identify weld defects or inconsistencies.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure a clean and safe work area.
Requirements
- Relevant trade qualification with experience
- Forklift ticket (highly desirable but not essential)
- Gantry crane ticket (highly desirable but not essential
- Valuable level of physical fitness, with the ability to perform manual and labour-intensive tasks
- Full working rights
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Ability to pass weld test before commencing
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol tests
