We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technical Officer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated telecommunications professional who enjoys working on cutting-edge wireless infrastructure projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and technical excellence.

About the Role

Working as part of our telecommunications construction and deployment team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, upgrading and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure across a variety of network environments.

Key responsibilities include:

- Installing and commissioning telecommunications equipment and infrastructure.
- Rigging and mounting antennas, feeders, transmission equipment and associated hardware.
- Diagnosing and rectifying installation and network faults.
- Conducting site construction, upgrade and integration activities.
- Ensuring all telecommunications installations meet client, industry and quality standards.
- Coordinating site activities with Project Engineers and Project Managers.
- Completing site documentation, quality records and testing requirements.
- Maintaining rigging equipment, tools and test equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with all WHS,



environmental and quality management systems.
- Building sites to agreed budgets, programs and quality standards.
- Assisting with site inspections, troubleshooting and technical support activities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential

- Minimum 5 years' experience in telecommunications construction, installation and commissioning.
- Experience working on mobile telecommunications networks and wireless infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications installation practices and site construction activities.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and installation requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence. Construction White Card.
- Working at Heights certification.
- RF Awareness certification.

Desirable

- Telecommunications infrastructure design experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of WHS and Environmental Management Systems.
- High Risk Work Licence including Rigging.
- Experience working for telecommunications carriers, network vendors or infrastructure providers.
