For the last 150 years, Gowings Bros Limited, has existed with one goal in mind - enriching lives with sustainable, functional and durable products made for adventure. In 2022 Gowings Bros Limited purchased Alvey to compliment other iconic outdoor brands including FCS, Softech and Gorilla Grip.

We have moved the Alvey manufacturing facility from QLD to Woolgoolga to consolidate with our Global HQ in central Coffs Harbour and we are looking for a candidate who is based in the Coffs Harbour region who is interested in joining the Alvey manufacturing team.

About the role

The position provides practical, responsive support across day-to-day manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable switching between administration, customer service and supplier contact, and operational/manufacturing tasks.

Key responsibilities

- Manage correspondence, filing, scanning, data entry, document preparation, registers and routine reporting

- Follow up open actions, coordinate paperwork, maintain accurate job or order information and assist the team with day-to-day tasks

- Respond professionally to phone and email enquiries, process customer orders, provide status updates and escalate issues when required

- Assist with purchase orders, sales orders, delivery documentation, invoice checks and record reconciliation

- Keep business systems, spreadsheets, templates and electronic files current,



complete and easy to retrieve

- Provide practical assistance during busy periods, cover routine administrative tasks and contribute to manufacturing as needed

- Learn and contribute to the production process – assembly and general manufacturing processes

- Suggest and implement practical improvements that reduce errors, delays, duplication or unnecessary cost

About you

- Organised, dependable and willing to take ownership

- Practical and comfortable completing both routine and unexpected tasks

- Clear written and verbal communication

- Confident using Microsoft software, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel

- Positive, service-focused approach with a willingness to learn

- Fishing industry knowledge - desired

- Experience in an operations, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing or e-commerce environment - desired

- Exposure to ERP, CRM, accounting, inventory or order-management systems - desired
