The role:
The Senior Control Systems Engineer is responsible for working closely with the operations, maintenance and engineering teams to ensure that automation systems are aligned with site requirements. Your responsibilities will include identifying and executing improvement projects, providing technical expertise and control systems engineering support to the maintenance, production and engineering teams, ensuring work complies with site, industry and Australian standards, conducting performance evaluations to identify operational limitations and offering technical solutions.
Selection criteria:
This role will suit a qualified engineer who has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders. Tertiary qualified in either electrical, electronics, instrumentation or mechatronics engineering you will need to have a thorough understanding of Rockwell ControlLogix Platform, Pavilion 8 MPC, Rockwell FactoryTalk, GEiFIX Scada. You will also need to have knowledge of Industrial Communication Networks, OSISoft PI Plant Historian and have advanced skills in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Outlook. SAP). Your background in mining or in heavy industry will see you thrive. Experience with Yokogawa Centum VPR6 will also be considered.
