We're looking for an Optical Team Leader to lead our Fortitude Valley Optical team on a 12-month secondment opportunity, with exciting potential for ongoing leadership opportunities as our Brisbane presence continues to grow.

About The Role

Reporting to the Clinical Director - Optometry, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of our optical practice while supporting and developing a team of 10-11 Optical Dispensers. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance people leadership, operational management, member service excellence, and optical dispensing support when required. The role is based onsite in Fortitude Valley, Monday to Friday.

What You'll Be Doing

- Leading, coaching and developing a team of Optical Dispensers
- Managing daily practice operations, rosters, workflow and timesheet approvals
- Delivering an exceptional member experience and resolving enquiries professionally
- Monitoring stock, supplies, banking reconciliations and operational performance
- Supporting optical dispensing activities when required
- Working closely with the Clinical Director and broader Health Centre leadership team
- Contributing to the ongoing growth and success of our Brisbane optical services

About YouWe're looking for a confident and organised leader who enjoys supporting people and creating a positive team culture.

You'll Bring





- Optical Dispensing Certificate or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an optical practice or similar healthcare environment
- Previous leadership, supervisory or team coordination experience
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with optical practice management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Optomate or Exact experience will be highly regarded
