About Us:

As one Corporation, we work in close collaboration, delivering municipal services to the community of Nhulunbuy through our four discrete business units (Aviation, Community, Corporate Services and Infrastructure).

The Nhulunbuy Corporation is seeking a professional, positive and engaged People & Culture professional to join our Team. The People, Culture & Workforce Officer is a key member of the Nhulunbuy Corporation’s Executive Services Team, reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer with Supervision from Governance & Compliance Supervisor.

As an integral member of the Executive Services team, the successful candidate will provide professional Human Resources, Employee Relations and Workforce Development support across the organisation while helping foster a positive workplace culture and supporting strategic organisational objectives

The People, Culture & Workforce Officer is responsible for supporting all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, industrial relations, employee wellbeing, learning and development, performance management and organisational development. The role also ensures compliance with employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, policies and best-practice HR principles.

In addition to a market-competitive base-salary, the position is afforded remote-area travel assistance, generous superannuation and heavily subsidised housing with utilities, and a vehicle. The approximate total package range is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

About the Role:

Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinating end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities.

- Providing advice on Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards and employment legislation.

- Supporting employee relations, workplace investigations, grievance management and organisational change processes.

- Assisting managers with performance management, probation reviews and workforce development initiatives.

- Coordinating learning and development programs and maintaining compliance training records.





- Developing and maintaining HR policies, procedures and workforce resources.

- Preparing workforce reports, statistics and organisational metrics.

- Managing confidential employee records, HR systems and workforce information

About you:

To be successful, you will have:

Qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated experience in Human Resources and Industrial Relations.

Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.

Experience supporting recruitment, employee relations and organisational development initiatives.

Excellent communication, consultation and relationship management skills.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.

A current C Class Driver Licence.

Salary package of $95,000 - $115,000 plus superannuation (dependent on qualifications and experience).
