Electrical Supervisor (Shutdowns / Projects) – BHP

Must have:

- Schedule 26 Certificate
- WAIO Electrical Shock Training
- Electrical Supervisor’s Statutory Responsibilities Theory Assessment
- Construction White Card
- Current WA Driver’s License

Shutdown – FIFO Construction Project

The Role:

- Lead and coordinate a team of electricians through all shutdown phases—preparatory works, execution and handover
- Oversee cable-pulling operations, installation of cable trays, termination of LV cables and MCC wiring
- Supervise low-voltage and small-scale commissioning activities, including functional testing and fault-finding
- Manage permit-to-work issuance, plant isolations and lock-out/tag-out processes in strict accordance with BHP protocols
- Conduct pre-start safety briefings, risk assessments and toolbox talks to reinforce a zero-harm culture
- Liaise with BHP electrical engineers, maintenance planners and the Construction Superintendent to ensure alignment of schedules, quality standards and safety requirements
- Monitor daily progress, maintain accurate site documentation and drive timely issue resolution

Requirements:

- Trade-qualified Electrician with demonstrable supervisory experience in heavy-industrial or mining fixed-plant environments
- Proven track record managing shutdown or turnaround electrical scopes on resource-sector sites




- Valid BHP Inductions (essential) and familiarity with client-specific electrical standards
- Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to mentor and develop team members
- Safety-focused leadership with a commitment to continuous improvement and zero-harm outcomes
