We are seeking an experienced, organised and hands-on Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our growing business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations professional looking for a genuine management role with part-time hours and no weekend work.

You will lead a small team and be responsible for ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently, customers receive excellent service, inventory is well controlled, warehouse and dispatch operations run smoothly, and the team remains organised and productive.

This is not a desk-only management position. We are looking for someone who enjoys being involved in the operation, leading from the front and taking ownership of getting things done.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the business

- Lead, support and coordinate a small team

- Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently

- Oversee picking, packing, freight and dispatch

- Monitor outstanding orders and backorders through to completion

- Maintain a high standard of customer service

- Manage inventory accuracy, stock movements and stock availability

- Coordinate cycle counts and investigate stock discrepancies

- Coordinate warehouse and production priorities

- Allocate daily workloads and monitor team productivity

- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical improvements

- Maintain an organised, efficient and protected workplace

- Take ownership of operational issues through to resolution





- Provide management with clear visibility of operational performance

About You

We are looking for someone with:

- Previous experience in operations, warehouse, distribution or a similar hands-on management role

- Experience leading and developing a small team

- Strong inventory management and stock control experience

- Good knowledge of order processing, warehousing, freight and dispatch

- A strong customer-service focus

- Excellent organisational and time-management skills

- Strong communication and people-management skills

- A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving

- Confidence using inventory and order-management systems

- The ability to work independently and make day-to-day operational decisions

- A strong sense of ownership and accountability

- A current forklift licence

Experience within a wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, trade or warehousing environment will be highly regarded.
