Family Assistant / House Manager & Nanny

We are a young professional family who value a home that feels calm, organized, and welcoming. We are hands-on parents looking for a collaborative, compassionate partner to work alongside us.

We have two sweet boys: a 7-month-old baby and a 2.5-year-old who attends kindergarten three days per week. Care of our baby is shared around the family, with approximately two days per week involving sole care. We have a strong local family support network and an established team helping maintain our home.

To ensure you can focus your energy effectively, we run a well-supported household with regular professional cleaners, routine garden, lawn, and pool maintenance.

? About the Role

This is a wide-ranging, hands-on role combining household management, organization, and childcare. We are looking for a true professional who genuinely enjoys running a home, loves children, and possesses the high-level initiative to see what needs doing and make it happen.

No two days are the same. Some days will have a stronger childcare focus, while others will be cantered around the home.

Your week will be a dynamic mix of:

- Childcare: Caring for our baby, managing his daily routines, and stepping in with our toddler.

- Home Operations: Keeping the household running smoothly, accepting deliveries, coordinating trade visits, and handling grocery runs or errands.

- Daily Upkeep: Managing the family laundry and linen, alongside light meal preparation.

- Deep Organization Projects: Getting stuck into structural projects when needed—whether that’s reorganizing a chaotic pantry, sorting the children’s wardrobes as they grow, cleaning out drawers, or resetting the playroom.

You take immense pride in a beautifully organized, well-run home. You are a calm,



grounded individual who naturally notices that the washing needs putting away, a delivery needs unpacking, or a room needs resetting—and you simply take care of it autonomously.

Our Ideal Candidate Is:

- Seasoned & Mature: A career-level domestic professional with a proven track record in private estate management, high-level family assistance, or extensive personal child-rearing experience.

- Deeply Empathetic: Compassionate, intuitive, and capable of bringing a gentle, steady, and supportive energy to a private family home.

- Infant Capable: Possesses strong, confident experience with sole infant care (under 12 months).

- Proactive & Practical: Highly organized, practical, and naturally stays one step ahead of a busy household.

- Professional: Discreet, highly respectful of family privacy, and looking for a genuine, multi-year position.

? Mandatory Compliance Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must hold:

- Active QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check)

- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates

- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence & a reliable, safe vehicle

- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights

- Excellent, verifiable professional references

This is a permanent, full-time position with flexibility across the working week to match work, appointments, and kindergarten rhythms.

- Remuneration: Negotiable based on qualifications, capability, and experience
