HSE Advisor – Earthworks, Civil & Construction Projects

Must have:

- Tertiary qualification in OHS, Environmental Science or similar
- Minimum 3 years’ HSE advisory experience on earthworks, civil or construction sites
- Skilled in JSA/JHA facilitation, permit-to-work and incident investigation
- Construction White Card, Confined Space & Working at Heights tickets (or ability to obtain)
- Current Australian Driver’s License

The Role:

- Perform daily site inspections and audits on excavation, bulk earthworks, concreting and mobile-plant operations
- Lead Job Safety Analyses (JSA/JHA) for high-risk activities (trenching, heavy-lift rigging, traffic management) and ensure critical controls are in place
- Manage permits for hot works, confined-space entry and live-traffic tasks; liaise with site supervisors to sequence works safely
- Conduct root-cause analyses of incidents and near-misses, prepare compliant investigation reports and drive corrective actions
- Deliver toolbox talks and site inductions on ground stability, fall-protection, environmental controls and ensure competency records are up to date
- Support development and testing of emergency response plans, coordinating drills for spill response, fire and rescue

Requirements:

- Proven background advising on HSE for earthworks, civil or construction projects
- Strong knowledge of WA OHS Act, Mines Safety & Inspection Act and relevant environmental regulations




- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, able to influence front-line crews and management
- Proactive problem-solver with a zero-harm mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
