You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of shipping containers between Port Botany, container depots, warehouses and customer sites. This is a great prospect for an experienced driver looking for regular work, a professional environment and a long-term position.
Key responsibilities
- Container transport from Port Botany and surrounding terminals
- Safe loading, securing and delivery of containers
- Completing pre-start and vehicle safety checks
- Following NHVR, road safety and fatigue management requirements
- Completing delivery documentation and communicating with customers
- Maintaining a high standard of professionalism and customer service
- Taking care of company trucks and equipment
About you
- Experienced in container transport
- Holds a current HC or MC licence
- Good knowledge of Sydney roads and Port Botany
- Experienced with skel trailers
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional when dealing with customers, terminals and freight forwarders
- Good communication skills
- Previous Port Botany / container transport experience is highly desirable
