The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Manager (Referral Strategy and Performance) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

- Proactively continue to develop own technical knowledge and expertise
- Collaborate with the HealthPathways team to support coordination and content alignment of the Gold Coast Health Smart Referrals Referral Services Directory and Refer Your Patient website
- Complete regular data auditing, patient safety data analysis to review and optimise alignment
- Support the operational alignment of the Clinical Prioritisation Criteria (CPC), Specialist Outpatient Service Implementation Standards (SOSIS)

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

- Temporary full time – 12 months with possibility of extension
- Base salary ranging from $140,632 - $152,685 per annum

About Us

The Referral Strategy and Performance unit implements,



supports and monitors best practice management of referrals, including referral navigation to services across Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS). The unit is responsible for maintaining and optimising the portfolios of Refer Your Patient incorporating Clinical Prioritisation Criteria (CPC), Smart Referrals and the Referral Intake Hub. These portfolios are integral to the ongoing monitoring of referral management demand and capacity across GCHHS. Positions within this unit are required to work closely with stakeholders across all divisions of the organisation to assist in delivering high quality outpatient services aligned to the Specialist Outpatient Services Implementation Standard (SOSIS) and local organisational policy and procedures.
