About the role

Join Health Information Services at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and play a key role in shaping how clinical information is managed, utilised and translated into meaningful outcomes for healthcare services. This position offers a unique chance to combine health information management expertise, digital health initiatives, clinical documentation improvement and stakeholder engagement within one of Queensland's largest tertiary healthcare facilities.

Working closely with clinicians, coders, digital health teams and service leaders, you will provide leadership across a designated clinical stream, supporting Activity Based Funding outcomes, clinical documentation quality, data management, reporting and digital health system improvement initiatives. The role offers variety, influence and the opportunity to contribute to strategic projects that improve the quality, accessibility and use of health information across Metro North Health.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Provide leadership and coordination of Health Information Management services within an allocated clinical stream,



supporting clinical documentation improvement, coding quality and Activity Based Funding outcomes.
- Build productive relationships with clinicians, coders, digital health teams and stakeholders to facilitate education, communication and successful implementation of information management initiatives.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of digital health systems, including ieMR-related initiatives, reporting tools and Health Information Services managed applications.
- Deliver information management, reporting and data analysis support for audit, research, performance monitoring and service improvement activities.
- Contribute to coding quality programs, clinician liaison activities, education initiatives and continuous improvement projects that enhance documentation quality and health information outcomes.
